With profound sadness, our family announces the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and mother-in-law Veronica Sylvia Clarke (née Queeley). She passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 5th, 2025 at the age of 93.
Veronica was a devoted mom who gave her heart and life to her seven children Valerie, Debbie, Roselee (deceased), Donna (Bruno), Karen (Jochen), Shelley (Norris), and Shawn. She was a proud and loving ‘grandma’ and ‘great-grandma’ to her six grandchildren, Erich (Allyson), Elysha, Sydney, Daniel, Nora, and Lucas; and great-grandson Koen. Veronica, nicknamed ‘Ron’ or ‘Ronnie’, was a caring and respected sister to her four siblings: Doreen Queeley (deceased), Ursula Harris (deceased), Walford Queeley, and Theresa Lewis (deceased). She enjoyed her role as Auntie Ron to her eight nieces and nephews: Jacqueline, Jennifer, Lisa, Chriscelda, Althea, Terry, Joseph and Patricia.
Known for her gentle spirit and unshakeable strength, Veronica was the heart of our family. Her greatest joy came from her role as a mother. Veronica raised her seven children with unwavering and unconditional love, faith and perseverance, all while working full-time to the age of 75. Veronica's simple pleasures brought her great joy: a cup of tea (with lots of sugar), her favorite show Coronation Street, her flower garden, and shopping.
We wish to honour Veronica Clarke with a 'Celebration of Life' service to be held at Coopérative funéraire du Grand Montréal, Résidence funéraire Curé-Poirier (635 Boulevard Curé-Poirier O, Longueuil, QC J4J 2H8) on Friday, July 18th, 2025 at 11:00AM. A lunch reception will follow immediately after. We invite all family and friends to celebrate her life and love with us.
Her legacy will forever live on with family and friends who were touched by her gentle and loving spirit.
